I had a delicious lunch date with darlinamy at a surprisingly yummy Arches. Now, I'd driven past this place when I first got back from Fl, and thought, "Do we really need another pretentious dessert/ snotty food place? I think not." However it's actually quite adorable and lovely. I had the most delicious chickenmushroompepper salad (roommate I think we both must be pregnant. And our babies only want mushrooms) and then some super tasty frozen yogourt that didn't taste like actual yogurt gone bad. So I told missamy my plan to become more worldly involved and she told me to check out the BBC site. Which makes a ton of sense. So I visited there today, and this is the story I happened upon. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7845946.stm?lsm Really?!!!?! I mean... really. Kind of ridiculous. Let that be a lesson kids.
In other news, I'm still job hunting. Like it's my... aha. ha. ahem. not that funny really. I have an interview for a vet place on monday, and another called to tell me to fill out an application which I did and dropped off today. so fingers crossed people! I've applied for a few non-vet jobs around town and it would be awesome just to have something to do. and yes, money would also be excellent. Yup pretty much just need your good luck vibes.
Finally. Ummm. Well ok so this is hard to type and not sound dumb or melodramatic or whatever. But anyways just cause it may come up in the future. So I've had to put ultimate away for a while. Don't worry, I'm still going to fools to spectate and if tons of people make a trip to nationals, I'll go. But other than that. It's kind of over right now.
Right, moving on. have I mentioned how proud I am of my roommate for figuring out her life plan? Cause she kind of rocks. My little girl's all grown up and going to grad school! Which makes a twofer out of 821. Holla. Yup, they're kind of bitchin. Ok kids, I gots to get some sleep so I can get up early and apply for jobs, and hike and all sorts of fun stuff. Also come visit me if you ever need an escape from the parents. We have an evil cat you can play with. He bites. And MG is moving in his nice cat you can play with. She doesn't bite. And neither does MG.
Find a job for me too. I have had four interviews at Oregon Health and Science University for different research jobs, but then I heard there is a hiring freeze, and one of those positions got dissolved with the economy. I have yet another interview with them on friday. You might ask why keep applying/interviewing if they don't hire anyone. Well, I don't know either. Hmph.
