the water is turquoise

I'm breaking out in hives. ok I'm sorry. The first sentence in this thing probably shouldn't have been that sentence. However, it's true. and annoying. Thus I wrote it. Seriously. It's like I'm allergic to something in the condo. or Florida. uh oh! But besides this whole itchy unseemly little problem, life in florida is pretty awesome. I've now officially finished my first full week as a research intern and it was pretty amazing. Today we did four research sessions in the morning which meant it was ridiculously busy. The other research intern today, whom I will call Blondie for the time being until I think of a more interesting nickname, and I were absolutely cracked out. We were moving things around from 8:30 to pretty much 1:00 pm. Talon didn't do so hot today, but there were a lot of distractions around, like it was super windy in the morning, and then they started up an In Tunes session right in the middle of his second number line session so he got ways distracted. But he's so cute when he gets it right! He's so proud of himself and he'll do a little dive or tailwalk and scream at the trainer so they congratulate him. And if he gets it wrong he'll wait by the target pole like, 'Oh I know I messed up. Let me try again right now!'. He's so different from Tanner. Tanner's been such a freakin butt the past two sessions. Today he was much better cause they took a step back and started him with just 1 and 2 and worked up to 4. No 5 and no hard trials, just so that he could remember that the game was fun. And little Ras was all over the place today. she was just picking sides for the match to sample, and hardly looking at the objects at all.
Basically the other research interns and I set up for each research session, record it with the videocamera and take notes. Sometimes we get to participate in them, which is amazing. I got to help with Ras's mts yesterday which was incredible cause after she was done I got to give her a backrub. You seriously cannot be near dolphins/ get to touch them and have a bad day. They are so amazing.
Ok I realize you all are ways bored now. Where's the interesting stuff you wonder. Well pretty much all I do is go to work, come home, swim, make dinner and sleep. Soon we'll add a job to that list. And yes, for you roommate and miss tallison and whoever else reads this, i hope to have some fun stories just for you. I wonder if there's some sort of privacy setting so only you could see them.....interesting.

Yay! I'm so glad that I have another journal to read! It's so cool that you found a job you love so soon after graduation.

Oh, and on that note it took me a moment to figure out that you were talking about Dolphins. At first I assumed they were nicknames of people.

love and miss you
